1994
1996 was when the first TMCC engines and Command Base were cataloged. The Cab1 and the Powermasters were first in 1994 as Joe mentioned.
I recall those early TMCC GP-9s that came out in 1996, I purchased the NYC version. At discounted prices it sold for around $230. Compared to the dual motored traditional GP-9 I had at the time, the first TMCC GP-9s were amazing in terms of control and sounds. Still have the Canadian Pacific GP-9 that came out the following year.
The NYC GP-9 has excellent sounds for a RS 2.5 engine!
It was cool when Clyde Coil brought TMCC at York at the beginning. No one really knew who he was!
Was the Soo SD60 (Pulmor version) the first TMCC offering?
