Lionel Fluid loaderboom

Is there a way to increase the lionel fluid loader boom speed (too slow) using the Cab 1 remote?

Here is a link to a video showing a smoke fluid loader. Is yours significantly slower than this? You don't want the boom rotating too fast otherwise it is harder to stop in the center of the smokestack. The parts diagram does not show linkage or belts. It appears direct drive from motor driven by a circuit board. Make sure you have this powered at 18 VAC.
