Greetings, steam fans!  I’m enjoying some rest this morning after a very enjoyable and productive day (more later) at the Big E train show.  I go every year with my two oldest friends, then we get together with the wives for our annual “train dinner”.  What could be better than quality time with best friends and trains?

The Steam Crazy Lines photographer didn’t have time to get trackside, so he searched the archives for an “oldie but goodie”.  Here’s an encore performance of “A Symphony of Steam”.

Here is my newly acquired American Flyer (Chicago Flyer) #13 from 1923 (102 years old!).  When I first acquired it there was no tender but some research showed that it came equipped with a Type 120 tender (as did other engines) in that time period and I was lucky enough to find an appropriate tender.  So here she is, the cast iron, clockwork, #13 and her 120 T tender from 1923.
