Sounds like we all had a great time at York.  As I was leaving on Saturday afternoon there was a box of O gauge track that someone had tossed out by a trash barrel.  As I walked by I thought maybe I could use some of the better pieces.  I picked up the box of about 60 pieces both straight and curved, all stamped N.Y. and Lionel.  Toward the bottom of the box were about ten pieces of straight track with the golden ties.  I have heard or read about them somewhere but don't remember where.  There were only straight pieces in the box that were golden, no curves.  Must be sort of rare as I have never seen any till now.  Anyone offer any history or information on the golden tie track?  As I always am guilty of bring home other peoples junk, I would really appreciated it so I can tell my wife what was in that box of stuff (junk to her).  Thanks ahead of time!
