Good Day Lionel,
How about ACF Cylindrical 3-Bay & 6-Bay Hoppers in prototypical railroad names? Offer these as singles as well as roadnames in Sets of 3 each with unique car numbers would be fantastic!

Ditto! Right on Frank!
They built beautiful stunning hoppers in O scale!
Those are all good. In particular, I like the D&TS. Will Lionel make both the 3 and 6 bay variants? I would hope future locomotive have tooling that would allow road specific details like headlights in the low hood for BNSF.
Good Day Lionel,
How about ACF Cylindrical 3-Bay & 6-Bay Hoppers for 2014?

How about just getting the first run of hoppers out first?
Rusty
Maybe I can ask this here?
The Atlas B&O 3 rail has dark blue on the bottom and the 2 rail C&O version is all yellow. I've always wondered if both are prototypical?
Hi Joe,
To my knowledge those hoppers were produced when Jim Weaver was living and was in-charge of Atlas O. Mr. Weaver had all O Scale products produced in real life color schemes only. That said, I would say the color schemes are prototypical!

I really do applaud the preference for realistic road names. Lionel is way overdue for making some realistic and accurate modern freight cars for a change. It would be really nice if some road names were chosen that represent today's railroading scene instead of only fallen flags from decades ago. The SD70 engines are currently running on the rails and it would be nice to have some new freight cars that are also running on the rails. Penn Central just doesn't cut the mustard for contemporary modeling. I must stop this habit of grousing about the lack of authenticity, but I cannot help myself. Might be easier to go buy an airbrush, paint, decals, etc. Cheers....Ed L.

Hopefully, once Lionel gets all the Heritage Fleet stuff out of their system, we'll begin to see more protoype roadnames and a greater selection of newly tooled freight cars in general. (And pulleeeze Lionel, DON'T do the fantasy BNSF "heritage" locomotives in S that were done in O. Those were terrible paint schemes.)
