just wondering if anyone has tried running their lion master locos with tmcc or legacy and if you even can. I would like to get a couple of different new locos but I would like to be able to run them with ether tmcc or legacy.

You can run them (i.e. LionChief) on the same track as your Legacy/TMCC trains--you just won't be able to operate them with the Cab 1/2. You'll have to use the LionChief remote.
Edit: Somehow I missed how you worded the topic when I first replied. "LionMaster" is a line of steam locomotives based on large prototypes that are detailed above the level of an entry-level locomotive, but are appropriately downsized for smaller layouts. In this lineup you'll likely find Legacy electronics. But I suspect you were talking about "LionChief", so the above paragraph applies.

Lionmaster and Lionchief are two totally different things.
Lionmaster = Yes
Lionchief (and Lionchief Plus) = No, but can run on same track.

Well, you are all set then. Just put the train on a track(along with any TMCC/Legacy/DCS trains as desired) with 18 volts, pick up your LionChief remote, and you are in business!

then no, you can not run them with tmcc cab one or the legacy cab 2 or the cab1L.
they can only be run with their own remote.
