Lionel LionChief plus 2.0 GG-1's ???

I think they have arrived at some dealers. There was a post about these just a week or so ago. If I recall, one forum member posted about receiving his GG1 from Nassau Hobbies.

Al's AJM trains posted a video on YouTube. Looks like Lionel did a great job on these. Sounds are awesome!

Passed on these at preorder but may consider one later. Interested in the new LC 2.0 line and have one of the much delayed 0-6-0Ts coming soon. I think.  

My 4877 should be arriving this week - just got the tracking number.

There were only 25 of those PRR Bicentennial GG-1's made, which were exclusive to METCA.  They also made 25 Conrail Bicentennial one's.  The internal guts are all the same so they all sound and operate similarly.

Do  the idling sounds sound like a diesel?  
Also, the red looks a bit like Chinese red to me.
Is it just my eyes and ears getting old?

Great looking and sounding engine. Was this paint scheme ever used on the real GG1 by the Pennsylvania Railroad or Penn Central or Conrail?

Does anyone know if they are going to make/ Ship more of these out? I can't find any of them anywhere, including TrainWorld

Sorry - I don't have a solid stripe, but I love my LionChief Plus 2.0 in 5-stripe. A great runner and fits in well with traditional sized equipment.

The ones I saw had 5 stripes , not the big solid stripe.   Sommerfelds Trains might have the Solid strip one ?
