Has anyone grabbed the new M7 LIRR set? I imagine it's close to the Metro North Set but would love to see some video on it.

Very un realistic
the sides of the train show the station destination as penn station
however the announcement is this the train to Babylon ?
dont get it ...
also the volume of the station announcements are quite low compared to the metro north set
very disappointed in this
I don't understand why they could not do 4 cars like the old set. In real life they are married in pairs of two. Not like you can buy 6 and put them together either unfortunately.

You could get two sets, reverse the motor in one of the cars are modify the cars to connect together. That's what I'd do.

Pretty sure having changing LED signs in the car ends per prototype would be a steep price increase. Besides, everyone wants the train to Babylon (especially the 5:36!) ... but remember the LIRR Commuter Prayer:
"Lead us not unto Penn Station, but deliver us from evil".
I'm more concerned with the three car consist.

Lionel has a dicey history with LIRR models: Some years ago, they actually produced an LIRR MU set with pantographs! Considering the potential fan base of this famous commuter line, Lionel can, and should, do better! For example, an accurate "Ping Pong" (P54) set is long overdue!
