Lionel Long Island RR Pass. set

I just got this, graphics and horn are quite good but the single motor seems a bit underpowered,

spins with the two extra cars, lubed everything, cleaned track, abraised the track, still no go, have only run on Industrial Rail track so far, any suggestions ?

Can you add some lead weights inside the locomotive?

Yes , I thought of that, will take off the shell tonight and see what kind of room there is,

might even consider putting in a 2nd powered truck, going to try Lionel and MTH roadbed track, they have a wider top surface for more traction area.
