I've had this Marx toy searchlight part in the junk box for a while, just picked up a 511 flatcar someone has repainted. Just married the two pieces together. The long range plan is to repaint the flatcar blue or yellow and use it in my McCoy TTOS Circus set up.

It looks really goood. I remember the circus having the surplus military search lights.
Maybe you could add some chains between the stakes to give them purpose.

an inspiration hit when you mentioned the circus connection, though. what about bashing a Marx siege cannon truck into a Hugo Zacchini "Human Cannonball Launcher"?
could be another great flat car load.

For Trainfest 2014 I created Human Cannonball truck from a Marx/Wyandotte cannon truck to which I added a few circus stickers. I then mounted it on a 200 series flatcar, which I incorporated into my circus train. You can see this car running in SGMA's Trainfest 2014 video. Alternatively, come to Trainfest 2015 and see it running in person on SGMA's layout.
