Has any member purchased one of Lionel's new 1:48 Legacy NW-2 switchers as shown on pages 44 & 45 of the 2012 Signature edition catalog. I am thinking of purchasing the MKT version and would like to know how members who own one think about the new switcher. If you have any photo's or video please post. Thank you.

I was real interested in getting one of the NW-2 switchers as well, I'm thinking Lionel cancelled the offering. I think the cancellation was discussed here on the forum some time ago. If I am wrong, I hope someone will correct me. Bo

Yeah, the NW-2 was one of the few recent catalogue (anybody's) locos that made me want to pick up the phone - the L&N edition I remember from my wasted youth - and they cancel it. Thanks a bunch.
(BTW - the Lionel gray L&N GP9 is the wrong color - I've seen it -, and I'm sure that the NW-2 would have been, also.)
MTH/Tinplate cancelled the Lionel Jr (Rebel-style) streamliner, too - I actually ordered
one of those, with the add-on.
