Lionel offset hopper pics

I'm thinking about grabbing a few Lionel die cast offset hoppers. I haven't seen any in person. Does anybody have any picture of them with other cars like ps-1 boxcars or ps-2 hoppers? I want to see a size comparison. I have a fair amount of the ps-1s and I want to see if they will just dwarf the offsets.

I think they look great! Lionel PS-1 on the left, Lionel PS-2 on the right...

They are big and heavy, so if you run them you will find all the weak couplers in the train.

K-line made some nice versions as well with applied coal load. They look great with the Lionel offsets.

I would recommend buying them. I have almost all of the offsets ever made and really like them. You would not be disappointed with them. Like the other post, they are heavy from the die cast. Best of luck.

CNJ JimOGR Forum Member DIGITAL SUBSCRIBER

I just made an offer to a forum member to buy his "CRR of NJ" version Atlas Fishbelly diecast hopper. They come up on Ebay sometimes, Trainz. There were at least two sets of 4 hoppers made in this non-Lady Liberty version. Adds some variety, I think.

I'm waiting on my pre-ordered Lionel PRR set due to be shipped this summer. I like these diecast offset hoppers.

I'm also looking at the CNJ steel sided reefer in the new catalog. That will be a nice set of CNJ cars. Those reefers are really nice as well. I have the DT&I one.

My CNJ offset just came in the mail this morning, and boy is it nice. I really like this car. Thanks for all the help.
Now if I could just find the Reading one...Anybody?
