My order arrived today and everything was there.

Among other things, I ordered a lot of small screws of various sizes; same for washers; and, etc.  It's very helpful that they package each p/n item(s) in a separate plastic bag with a printed sticker showing qty, p/n, and name-makes the order very easy.  Very nice operation.

My order arrived today also.  Carl, The GP9 hood cover is a fraction of a sixteenth inch too big both directions.  I’ll be able to sand it down to fit.  The magnets are on the sides not front and back like they GP7 uses.  I’ll make an alteration for that also!  I bought two hood covers and extra magnets just in case. Thank you for suggesting it again!!

I was surprised that I didn't get a confirmation email or any indication at all that I submitted an order, but after reading here I guess it's just par for the course for Lionel's system.

And that's surprising, because they obviously have a very efficient method of picking and packing with the peel and stick label sheets and each individual item labeled like @Pingman mentioned. I would have thought that a system with that level of automation would be able to immediately send confirmation emails efficiently.

Really happy with the quick delivery though, about 10 days from order to delivery. Just a bunch of hand-wringing in between wondering if they actually captured my order.

I was able to buy a bunch of switch machines from the 042 and 072 switches at half price, and spent yesterday afternoon converting all of our manual 022 switches to automatic / remote with non-derail. It would have been a very expensive proposition without this sale. Thanks @LIONEL!

I agree Jeff, they have quite an effective system to pick the number of any tiny part and seal them up in a little bag with a label.  I guess we are spoiled.  Remember the days of "Send 2 quarters and 4 boxtops to this address.  Please allow 6 to 8 weeks for delivery", and I heard nothing until it arrived and either I had been dying for it to come, or I had forgotten all about it in the meantime.

Do yourself a favor and sign up for "My Lionel".  Next time when you order parts, you can log in order the parts.  Then you can keep track of the process and even see past orders.  I knew exactly what the status of my parts were from processing, shipped, and tracking.
