Lionel's New 65' Mill Gondolas

CANADIAN PACIFIC RAILWAY has very similar 65'-66' long gondolas that are painted red.

Can you please make a second run of the Southern Pacific 65' gondolas in a medium shade of reddish brown this time?

Unfortunately it seems the St Charles Model Works folks who made great loads have stopped producing them without ever making some for these. 

I got these on e-bay. Very nicely done.  This is the demolition debris load. 

Others load types are available.

The ALGOMA CENTRAL had National Steel Car build 400 similar gondolas but with bulkheads in 1964, 1965, 1966, 1967.

1001-1100

1101-1200

1201-1300

1301-1400

In 2006 they were renumbered by adding a 1 to the front of the original number 11001-11400

Some of them were taken out of service in 2017.

A few of these ALGOMA CENTRAL gondolas are still in service on the Canadian National Railway system.

ILLINOIS CENTRAL had similar 65' gondolas built between 1967-1972.

The people at LIONEL just need to find photos of the ILLINOIS CENTRAL 65' gondolas when they were new and had clear markings.
