Good Afternoon Everyone,
As a native New Yorker who had witnessed the 911 attacks, I automatically bought the Veteran's SD60E because I had just recently retired from the military a year and a half before the attack and I felt a sense of wanting to commemorate and honor the first responders who passed away putting their lives on the line during those moments as I was a witness to those moments because I worked at a major NYC hospital that was just a mile away and saw the death and destruction and the bodies that were brought into the hospital and others for days and days. When I purchased the 911 SD60E, I noticed right away that there was a weird, almost salmon colored pink on the train instead of vibrant fire engine red. I know it has been quite a while now but there are more and more models of the train being produced with the appropriate colors by Lionel and MTH, and probably other companies I haven't seen. Does anyone know if Lionel is going to offer a properly painted SD60E shell to correct this paint flaw that is very obvious ??
