Lionel Station Sounds Diner Car | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I'm having an issue with a TMCC heavyweight diner car with station sounds and I'm hoping someone here can help me out. The sounds appear to be working fine but the overhead lights are not working properly. The lights stay off and blink on about once every second. It doesn;t matter if the car has been started up with TMCC or is in motion or not, just whenever there is track power. The blinking is in a definite rhythm - I don;t believe it's an issue with a loose connection or bad pick-up. I don;t have very good instructions for the car so I'm not sure if the lights need to be turned on with the remote. I'm assuming the lights operate separate from the TMCC controls in the car and are powered by track power like every other passenger car, but that may not be the case.

Anyone ever encounter this or have any ideas what could be going on?

Try aux 1 #9 That should turn it on. #8 turns it off.

Sounds like maybe the R2LC is been put into strobe mode...
