Hello all, I am having an issue with my TMC engines like the Lionel Southern f3aa reissue on TMC hesitating while I am trying to control with my cab Legacy controller. I am using Carter Graves track and it is clean but when I tried to accelerate with my controller it shows that it is accelerating but it just sits there for a while until it takes off and when it takes off it takes off fast. It seems like it does better when it warms up but I don't think there's anything wrong with the engine. It does the same thing on low medium and high settings. Please advise fixes. Thank you very much, Jerry

Hi John, I did as you suggested but the engine, Lionel 2356 celebration series is still lagging on Legacy. I tried on cab 1L and it runs okay. It is not running well at all on Legacy control? What do you suggest doing? Should I reprogram the engine? It has two pull more Motors. Do I need updates on my legacy command base? If so can you advise how to do that please. As usual, thank you for your help. Best, Jerry

When’s the last time these saw action? …..might be time to open them up and do a complete service. Check and clean out the gear well, apply fresh grease, inspect the motors, clean & lubricate, inspect the trucks, clean & lubricate. Remember, the rule of thumb is if it moves or spins, it needs to be lubed!…… A good tune up sounds in order. Keep in mind, with Pulmor motors, they’re not going to run near as nice as any can motor would, but, you should get half decent performance out of them under TMCC…..

Sorry I hit the wrong button. I will Lube the motors please advise again what I can do to my legacy control outfit. Much thanks, Jerry

Make sure you have your settings correct in your cab 2. So, hit info, and highlight the correct parameters. Use the dial to scroll through the selections. Select diesel, scroll and select TMCC, and finally, basic RS if so equipped. If you accidentally highlighted R100, the engine might not respond correctly to your commands…..
