Hello all, recently acquired a S2 Turbine #18010. My problem is the front pilot is detached and ladders are missing. Question is where is best place to look for these pieces. As far as I can tell the leading truck is also held on with the pilot screw, I also need the screws that attach the ladders to the pilot. Thanx Jim R.

Ok I found the ladder parts but don't know how to find the part #'s for the pilot screw or what I believe would be allen (spelling)head or hex screws for the ladders. Anybody. Thanx in advance Jim R.

I looked at my 18010 and the ladders are not screwed in. They are attached to holes in the pilot and slots in the walkways, which are attached to the boiler.
The leading pilot is attached by a Center Pin and Pivot Screw, which are Lionel Part #s respectively:

Unfortunately, Lionel shows them as being unavailable. But, they are probably out there somewhere.
It is a very nice locomotive. I upgraded mine with an ERR AC Commander and RS4, which I got from Boxcar Bill. Great control and sound.

I looked again at the 18010 and, if you are referring to the steps up to the cab, then yes, they are held in place by Phillips screws. It looks like the screws come with the steps but, appear to be like (size) most of the screws on the underside of the locomotive. I would take one or two out and try them for size. Then see if ACE Hardware has them.

George thanks for the info. They are the steps/ladders from the pilot up to the running boards. Someone suggested North Lima Trainworks I'll try them. Thank-you again Jim R.
