I didn't mention it earlier because I was afraid of derailing the OP's thread.
YOu couldn't be more accurate with your comment-opinion. There was another thread on OGR, maybe 6 months ago that got kind of 'heated' over THAT topic.
A forum member had an accurate, correct, AWT made. It was very nice.
Also the flags on the Jim Adams cars should be flowing in the same direction on both sides as a Star/Stripes Front/Back respectively. The tender that is prototypical to the pre-rebuilt cars is the 6-82934 which is UP 907853. UP 907853 was in service with the steam shop but painted black.
Now, I'm not a rivet counter, these tenders look really nice and I'm sure will be really fun to play with, but things like the direction of the flag and the correct paint for the era and road number are in general detail points that I think should be pointed out first.
Your second comment above is reason #2 why I'm considering selling mine. They're nice pieces though overpriced in my opinion. I'm sure others are really enjoying them, but I think I won't miss them from my collection. As a matter of fact, I even cancelled the MTH UP AWTs I had on order as they are the same outdated design as the Lionel models-not to mention they've been delayed 5 times already...
