Well, First off, I deserve FORTY LASHES, for over-reacting about this. However, I do wish to encourage LIONEL to up their quality game. Get prices back inline with customer expectations. Which will lead to what Paul said here. We definitely need younger folks to get involved in the Hobby. No doubt about that.

p.s. - a number of kids younger than 10 were over the house for a 4th of July cookout this past Summer....and actually stopped playing my PS4 for a long while and were more interested in my train layout in the room next door.  My TMCC remote seemed to intrigue them....but they really liked the trains.  They hadn't yet come across something like this.

Good to hear Lionel is attempting to replace it.  Hopefully the replacement they send will be in better shape.

Way back in the '80s and '90s, my son would often bring his friends to see and operate my layout.  Even then, kids were into video games and monster trucks, but everyone of them was in awe of what they saw.  Now my grandchildren are picking up the mantle.

Cracks me up !!  Guys get all thrilled and teary eyed when one of their BTOs runs good and nothing falls off right out of the box !!  Enjoy.
