I’m sure I had it too low on the shaft. Like I had said. It’s really close to not being able to use set screw if flywheel is high on shaft.
Send it to Pay (Harmonyards), he can move the screw down.
You can also glue one of those to an original flywheel and press it on the motor, no screw involved. I do that when it's easy.
Hmm, after repositioning the flywheel. It’s still the same. But now I notice when I change the direction it shutters a bit and sounds like a gear isn’t meshed for a second. At this point I should probably try to find someone to send it to. 😕
Tighten the screws on the bottom of the trucks, it's the most common issue when you have slipping gears on these.

That's even easier! Should be a fairly easy fix, just use a regular flywheel instead of the fix-it one. The magnet ring fits those properly, and there's no screw to worry about.
🧐Pat is that you?

If you want to do it the easy way, order the fix-it flywheel and the magnet. Then you can leave the motor in place and just pull the flywheel from the top. The fix-it flywheel has set screws and you don't need to press it on, hence no motor removal.
I’m going to try this again. Where did I order the fix it flywheel from? I’ve searched this whole thread. Can’t figure out where I purchased it. Thanx for any help.

You must have gotten it from Lionel Parts.
