Is there anyone out there that buys used locomotives that have simple to medium electrical problems at a fair price for both buyer and seller? I love this hobby but haven't a clue how to repair or even diagnose an electrical problem. Thanks MilwRdPaul

Paul, search the Wanted to Buy. Someone a couple weeks ago posted this very thing.
Not exactly sure what you are asking. Do you want to buy locomotives with minor problems to learn how to fix them or do you want to sell something you own? If it is the former I recommend you get a copy of Greenburg's Guide to Post War Lionel Repair '45-'69. It is excellent and used copies are easy to find.
Thanks all of you. I might be trying to sell them.
If you run conventional most all engines with electrical problems can be fixed by installing either a simple e unit or a bridge rectifier for unidirectional operation.

Contact me. It was my post. DCS, Legacy and TMCC. I have been able to pick up and bring back to life a few each week. If the engine was screwed with by someone who did not know what they were doing or if it has had an unsuccessful attempt at installing another operating system, I will not buy. Stock non running is what I look for.
