Hi,

I am in the process of making up a scenic plot to go with the Lionel 90 flag base that I picked up.  This plot had a horseshoe shaped grass plot on either side.  Would anyone happen to have one that they could trace out for me?  I would like to use the correct shape instead of my freehand work.  I have been searching the train shows for one on the loose, but no luck so far.

     Thank you,

don't have one to trace, but here's a good pic of Joe Mania's reproduction, if it helps...

I would think that the inside arc of the horseshoe plots would have to be a concentric arc with the flag pole base.  The outside arc would be its own circle, somewhat larger diameter than the flagpole base, with the inside arc lopped out of it.  You could lay it out pretty quickly with a pencil compass, rather than completely freehand sketching it.

It is 16" long. 8 1/2" wide. center bush to center bush is 9".

The center bush is about where each circle will be centered. Seems like 2 circles with a radius of 4 1/2" and then connect outer edges to 16". Kinda close the 2 bushes are 3 1/2" from the outer edge.

drawn on RR track and posted as BMP file.
