With the arrival later this month of GM's Train of Tomorrow, I am not searching for a 1:43, 1:48, or 1:50 model of this
Any information on where one might be found would be most appreciated.
Thanks,
Jason

Been looking myself for ANY scale model......other then some hand made sample in the $1000+ range never found any. As hard as Government Motors is to lisence with....it may be a factor.
They carried two 'drivers' and cargo....not people.
I have looked and looked for years. It would not be that difficult to scratchbuild/bash a model of one, but it would take a lot of time and I don't want one that much.
I keep hoping someone will make one in 1:43 or 1:50.
I know where there will be 1 for sale Jan.15th. In excess of $4,000000. (Barrett-Jackson Auctions)
Picked up this one at an S Fest several years ago:
I don't usually pay 50 bucks for a diecast vehicle, but this one was strangely worth it.

Norey, the company that made the model, l is no longer in business. It might be very difficult and expensive to find one on the used market but you can do a search. GM built 5 Futureliners for the 1939 NY Worlds fair at a time when corporate America participated in such ventures. They were used as exhibit vans and later traveled the USA in an exhibit called the Parade of Progress that showcased future cars and technology. They are interesting vehicles have a place in history. Accounts by those that drove them across the USA can be found online.
I had never seen it before....now wish I hadn't!!!
At that price...I'll hope the fellow that says he will make a kit in 1/24 scale, fully detailed, in the $400 range.
Here's a clip from CNN about the Parade of Progress Futureliners from CNN: http://money.cnn.com/video/lux...x.html?iid=S_Taboola
According to the clip, there were original 12 of these transporters, and they were used by GM on publicity tours until 1956.
If I could get them for a decent price, I would be interested in adding a couple of them to my layout as well.

I wonder if that's the one from the build featured on the Velocity Chanel's "*****in Rides" I know that build went way over budget.
This would be a wonderful addition to a layout. Please keep us informed if you find out more about availability. I would sure be in for one.
Robert Pratt owned the one that was just Auctioned off. I don't think it was the one from *****in Rides Tv show.
