Mike,
I will be home tomorrow and I will check. I think I have a couple of pair of 3R Allied trucks.
Malcolm
Why? Are you running on tubular rail?
rex, club I belong to is tubular track, home layout is mth 3-rail track. main thing for me is pick-up rollers for lighting. With you guys changing 3-rail to 2- rail figured someone must have the parts, I know I hate throwing stuff out....
Mike, I probably have the pickup rollers. I ran six of them mixed in with other PULLMAN's. I felt they had way to much drag and the cars didn't roll well. The lighting didn't matter to me so I simply removed the rollers. If the 2 rail truck frames are the same they should mount right up. I look this weekend for them.
Mike,
Sorry, mine are 2R too. Malcolm
Mike, found the rollers and hardware as well as the lighting boards. If your truck resembles the one in the pic you should be good to go.
The pickup is held onto the truck with 2 small screws. The center rail wire for the lighting should attach to the roller mount. Not sure where the outside rail wire was attached.
As you can see by the pics. The 3 rail wheels are really on the wide side. Not sure why. If the 2 rail wheels won't work. Northwest Shortline may have something. If the rollers are of use to you. You can contact me at. nyc_dave1948@yahoo.com
Dave, I sent you an e-mail
Thanks

Weaver used a pickup roller spring that is WAY too stiff and the cars have a lot of drag. Fortunately, a short arm MTH roller will mount using the same screw and the cars will roll freely. I've found Lionel wheelsets fit fine in Weaver diecast freight trucks but I'm not sure whether the same is true of the troop car trucks.
