I placed an order from Trainz for some K-line cars last week. I checked Fedex tracking today and it said delivery today 10/22 i waited for The Fedex truck which never came. When I checked tracking again it said delivery 10/22 today but the last scan was still in Georgia which contradicts what the tracking says. I have not recieved any information from Fedex  about any delays yet when I called Fedex  the attendent gave me no help and said call the shipper. Has anyone else had problems with Fedex shipping.

No. But,,,,,,,,,,,did you call the shipper as advised by the Fedex representative?

I’ve seen this happen before when Trainz uses Fed-Ex smartpost, ....sometimes the tracking gets in disarray when it’s handed off to USPS for final delivery ......as Gene stated, I’ll bet they show up....that snmartpost ain’t so smart...Either way, Trainz is ok people to deal with....Scott won’t toss you under the bus.....😉

I ordered an Atlas (when you couldn't order engines) locomotive from the East and they shipped it. Three, four or five days is the average. I waited two weeks, nothing. A month, nothing. Called the company and found out they shipped it the cheapest way they could. They have never shipped to the islands before. It travelled by truck across the country to Richmond California. Then it was put on a ship. It sat on the ship tell the ship was full. Then sailed to O'ahu. That took another six or seven days. The box was sorted in O'ahu then put on a barge to Maui. Another week. The company was going to ship me a new engine but my world traveling loco showed up in perfect shape. It was a little over two months to get here and the folks that sent it were willing to make good but I finally got it safe and sound. Don

There's your answer provided by harmonyards.  Not the first time, but recently had a FedEx SmartPost package misrouted from the post office two miles from the final destination to another city where it sat for days going nowhere.  Tracking was accurate, but USPS mishandling was resolved only after filing a complaint with USPS and the shipper.

What, me worry?

This Covid thing has gotten all 3 (Fedex, UPS, USPS) in a twist the past couple of months.  Fedex failed me on 4 out of 6 packages, I was so irate last time they gave me my money back PLUS a $30 voucher (just to shut me up).  This package was "suppose" to contain two 9.6v batteries, the driver actually delivered an empty envelope that had a neat 4" slit cut across the top!!!  The one before that, they left on the neighbors porch, even sent me a photo of it as proof they delivered it.  The other 2 were said to be delivered, only to get 1 the next day and the other dropped off in the middle of the night.

UPS has had a few hiccups, but the packages were delivered within a day of the actual date.  USPS has been the best so far, but I had one that was within 2 miles of my house at the main facility and then I get an email saying it was being sent back to the sender because of lack of sufficient address, only to be on my front porch the next morning.

I don't worry about stuff that was fairly inexpensive, but when it's a couple hundred $$$ then I start to get concerned.

I will say the last week or so they have all improved or back to normal anyway.  But with Christmas coming up I can see what a mess it could become.

My suggestion, call them, repeatedly if necessary, until you get their attention.  Find their phone numbers and keep them close by.  Talk to a supervisor if you have to and keep good records of your package info and who you talked to.

So when Fed Ex hands off your locomotive to the USPS and it arrived damaged who takes care of the claim. I would bet that would be a real mess. Neither wants  to pay out in the first place.

It’s the shipper’s ( the seller) responsibility to insure a safe arrival ....the shipping companies offer insurance to their customers ( in this case the seller of the locomotive) it’s up to the seller to make sure the locomotive arrives safe....whatever shipping company originally sells the service to ship the product is at that point responsible for for any insurance claims purchased by the seller......only the seller can call upon a claim for damage .......in some cases, the seller can relinquish the claim to the recipient, I’ve had that happen too....

I had a similar issue once.  The problem is that someone at FedEx scanned it wrong.  I got a notice stating it had been delivered the day after it was shipped, yet the last tracking scan indicated it was still in the city that it was sent from.

Unfortunately, since it had been marked as delivered, there were no further tracking updates.  The item arrived safely.

My suggestion is wait a few days and see what happens.  Hopefully the item will arrive safely.

Summer job for my Grandson, Micah.   Local FedEx distribution point.  Unload the large trucks, Load the smaller trucks.  First year, Geneva College, Beaver Falls, started late August.  He was offered work any time he could fit work in his schedule.  A great adventure, that showed the young man why he is putting in 4 years at a good school.  There was a broken toe, a concussion,  many, many, cuts and bruises.  I thought he did quite well earning those first blisters.    $15+/hr. with overtime.

There is a reason why that package didn't arrive.    Hopefully your package was not in the belly compartment, a lot of bad stories about unloading that part of the truck.

TrainZ loves to use Smartpost ( I call it Dumbpost ) Now if they send FedEx I will get it the next day if it ends up in smart post it usually takes about 5. Atlanta usps with packages it the worst. I have to deal with Atlanta for my packages. It is now uncommon for a package to bounce around 3 different sortings there for 5 to 10 days.

I have had a package on a vehicle and it not get delivered. I have had 2 of 3 packages on a truck get and one not, because they can't find it when they get here, and it gets delivered the next day or two.

I rechecked the Fedex tracking and now it says delivery pending.  I have tried to call trainz but all I get is a answering machine and for past two days never returned my call . The order was for two K-line passenger cars  at a cost of 17.00 each for shipping. At that cost I would expect at least ground shipping from Georgia to Florida.

My summer work in grad school with UPS ended up providing me a damaged back and a lifetime of mild disability and moderate to serious pain.  Some durn fool tower operator told a yard driver to pull a trailer out from under me at the dock.  Dropped me straight down and put me in therapy for six months.

I still use UPS when necessary.

I have had the same FedEx/UPS problem happen to me.

UPS delivered a purchase to me 10 days late.

Don't worry. You will get it.

By the way, I sent by US Certified Mail a tax return to the IRS, with a Return Receipt Card requested.   It was delivered on August 12th.   I just got the Return Receipt Card back yesterday, more than 2 months after the delivery.   I had to call the US Postmaster in Utah, where the IRS Center is located, to get the card.  It had wheel marks all over it.

I have had three strange delivery quirks with USPS this summer with the tracking feature saying the packages had been delivered on the same day they were mailed. Then the packages sat in some terminal for a week or more before moving again.  Note that on the attached photo the package was delivered to the senders address in CA on the same day it was out for delivery in Birmingham AL.  I have not seen the package yet.  Fedex has lost packages that were coming to me and they showed up a week or two later hopefully yours will also.        j

Check this routing out. I live in Florida, the package got close once (Orlando), then left the state. This all happened back in July 2020. Believe it or not, I did eventually receive the box, even after the tracking showed it was delivered in another state and left at the front door porch. Took a couple weeks to get it though.

"DITTO"   So nerve wracking to check tracking and see that your package has been delivered to an address other than what was on the label.   Sympathies!    This is the fourth such incident I have endured this year.                        j
