If nobody posted a response, an individual can delete the thread.
If the item is sold/no longer available, and there has been one or more responses posted, the seller can change the title to "Delete", and the thread will eventually be deleted as a maintenance activity. (I think I have that right)
When an item is sold, the OP (Original Poster) is supposed to edit the title of the thread to put the word "SOLD' or "DELETE" in the title. then we can find them and delete them.
If that change is not made, we'll never know the item was sold.
