My CVS drug store in Nashville, TN had an impressive display of 1:24 vintage diecast model cars mainly from the 1940's for $12.99 each. These look great with my standard gauge and G gauge trains and accessories. I selected a 1941 Chevrolet Special Deluxe convertible, a 1948 Chevrolet Aerosedan Fleetline, a 1940 Ford Sedan Delivery (panel truck) and a 1969 Type 2 VW van. The Ford and Chevy models have opening hoods and trunks and detailed engines. All have detailed interiors and have glossy paint finishes and chrome trim. Nice additions to any standard gauge or large scale layouts!

FYI: The manufacturer of these fine models is a UK firm by the name of Welly and the models are actually made in China. Prices online vary widely, but are all higher than $12.99, and then there is shipping. The advantages of going to your local CVS drug store are convenience, ability to examine the models, and the price. Even with any local or state taxes, these models are still a bargain!

Walgreens and Rite Aid sell some, too. I believe RiteAid sells Welly, some Ertl, I’ve seen some Yatming. CVS & Walgreens sell the same including Kinsmart. I’ll have to check some of the others I have on my layout.

For those into 1 gauge, G-scale and or O-scale. They sell very reasonably priced 1:32, 1:39,1:42, 1:43,1:45,1:48 And 1:50 as well.
