I woke up and made coffee.

and then proceeded to train room added smoke fluid waited a few minutes and powered up the layout.

magic the ross #50 lanterns were glowing slightly rest of room semi dark passenger cars and cabooses all aglow.

I then powered up the #261 s-3 and then the atsf #3751 also the lionel shay and then..... I sent the command for each one to start moving with train brake set so all are laboring and the smoke is blasting from all 3 smoke stacks the quilling of the steam whistle piercing the early morning air!

I found the Magic of 1957 all over again a truly magical Christmas day as I received from Santa a 6220 atsf switcher yes there is a Santa and he lives in us all!

I feel this way everyday that I am with the trains (which is almost daily).

Night runs are the best. I recall Christmas 1962 in particular, running the trains at night. I was 13. Quite enjoyable. I am now 65. Still like it.
