Can there be a better way to Pack the military cars and any flat cars with loads the picture 1 was when I got it as is in the box, found the tin gun shooter thingy broken off and the barrel part of the gun is gone. Thank you Mark.

Can't you return it. I never bought anything from Menards, I am a scale guy.

Tim, I suggest you email Mark directly (his email address is in his profile). I've found he is very responsive to the several emails I've sent him. Also, direct communication with him may lead to a faster response rather than depending on him finding your thread on this very busy forum.
What do you feel was the actual cause?
Did something come loose that allowed shifting, and damage?

I think how it was shipped, there needs to be more bubble wrap around the box and it would be okay. I think the rattling from moving back and forth while being shipped caused it to shift in the box.
