So I recently purchased a fairly nice looking Marx tinplate tunnel that was wired together at that joint.  Even the wires have come apart since I got it home.  I have another one that is bolted together, but it has an extended tab to put a screw through.  This newer to me one doesn’t have tabs.

What is the joint on my new addition supposed to look like?

Here’s my bolted one (yes I know the tab should be on the inside-this is how I bought it)

Here’s the newer to me tunnel without tabs:

I expect I will make two small pieces of metal with two holes to accept some #4 bolts through each hole, forming a kind of two point hinge.  But I am curious as to what this originally looked like.

Thanks for any feedback- Jhz563

I think the white tab is supposed to go behind the lithoed stone on the other half on your later tunnel.  Here is the hook on the Camo version of that earlier tunnel. Basically an ornament hook.
