The forward can motor in the Menards Santa Fe Beta 4.5 Blur Bonnet diesel is smoking in both reverse and forward. Noticed slow to start and crawl under full voltage load so removed shell. Saw the smoke. Pulled off the truck to check gears and tested motor. Spun freely then started to smoke. any idea on why a DC can motor would suddenly start malfunctioning. Any recommendations on a replacement can motor. Without a new motor this engine is a shelf piece. I am sure may will say I got what I paid but it has been fun to run.
