Thats funny we just had one built in town about 30minutes away!
Not my era but it looks just like the one a few blocks from me. Another great looking model.
Very cool. Makes me hungry for a Beef 'n Cheddar!!!!
If Menards doesn't make a Chick Fil A, I think the Arby's would be an easy one to convert to one. Take off the Arby's logo and change the posters in the window. It is already a very similar-looking building style to many Chick Fil As.
wish the hadn't frosted the glass and made a simple interior.
Also what are those three black posts for? To support the roof overhang??
If so, why are there no posts at the drive thru overhang??.
Menards should hire either an architect or a structural engineer to review these model BEFORE they make them.
If I buy this, I first remove the base and then I'd add an interior after removing the frosted windows . too much work!
I guess the three posts are taken from this view:
Still don't know what they do?
Why not paint the window mullions RED like the real thing?
Or just have the window mullions black like the couple Arby's near me. that also has the three posts, as well as no posts under the drive thru overhang. Yeah the model over hang is a tad bigger but so what? We're not talking about Bar Mills or Branchline Laser kits here

Well, if you had talked to an architect, instead of suggesting Menards (a home improvement company) should have, maybe you would have known that they often add ornate flourishes or trademark elements to commercial buildings. Having sat through a number of design presentations to government bodies, I was certainly well aware of that fact. Maybe stick to what you know?
Let's see, I have designed multiple hirises in Chicago and elsewhere but you're right never designed a fast food shop.
Also, only 900 of these were made as of now.

They’re especially full of those touches, as are other chain-oriented commercial buildings like Planet Fitness (purple lights aplenty). I agree with you that those posts serve no structural purpose, but sit through enough of these meetings before planning commissions and city councils and you’ll hear questions and answers on lots of purely aesthetic elements. Even for some apartment complexes, though it’s usually the city asking for added touches, in that case.
I was amazed by how well Menards has captured the flavor of the real thing in both its Taco Bell and Arbys releases. Though compressed, they clearly are models, not fabrications.
When will these Arbys be in the stores?
Nice, but if they do a Dunkin’ Donuts I’ll jump for joy!
re: when will the Arbys be in the stores ?
I called the two local Menards near me.
One had not received them yet.
The other store received two, so I went and bought one there today ( Thursday )
This is great news. A must have! Too bad no indication on Menard's app as to local stores inventory. Limited free time in life right now and no time to chase empty shelves.
Thanks Bob. Nice little structure. How much $? Glad to see Jack back.
Very nicely done building as they've captured the actual look. Those who wish to have red window mullions can simply paint them.
If you've seen the driver's we have around here, those pillars are there to keep cars from running into the store when they enter the drive-thru lane. I may not be joking...
Good grief! It is just a toy. Bet the Donald (Duck) would use it!
Will the Arby's be available online in time for my Christmas layout?
Would like to get an HO version of this.

They did make a HO version too. I believe it was 49.99

69.99 was the price in store. Bob
Jamocha shakes included?
Not my era building, but a neat one for those who like RTR structures. Feasterville, PA had one of the original Arby's establishments back in the late 60s and 70s; a unique style building and Cowboy hat sign with very unique interior, and best milk shakes in town.
Hopefully they’ll be available for online ordering before the holidays. There’s one on an auction site for $86 plus $30 shipping with 2 days to go and 4 bidders. I’m anxious to get one, but I’m not looking to pay a huge premium.
Dad, talk to Menards about a Dollar General model so I can have one every 5 ft on the layout just like they are in real life! Sell lots of buildings! LOL

I checked the Menards website, didn’t find one. Checked two, reasonably local Menards, neither had it in stock.

Sure wish it would have been the ORIGINAL building as used when Arby's was founded in my hometown area 1964!!!!
