I am purchasing:

O Gauge Grandpa's House

Model Number: 2793390  |  Menards® SKU: 2793390

Which adapter is recommended or will either work.  I bought  2000 mA (9.99) when purchasing the Hobby Shop and the adapter did not work.  I am concerned the 5000 mA adapter is too much, my thinking is to get the 2000mA because  another purchase is almost a done deal.

I also will order Grandpas house.  Have several building (Salt, P & L and a couple more) but no power adaptors at all.  Was waiting to buy power to run several Menards units via a single power source..  What do I need to order to give plenty of power.  Stock #'s if available.  Thanks for your help.  I can use a USA Army Jeep or 2.  Thanks again

All 3 regulated.  If buying from a train-show clearance bin or whatever, carefully check the SKU #.  As recently as last year Menards was selling unregulated adapters that look similar with similar mA ratings.  They did have the sense to change the SKU #.  If planning to power multiple buildings from one adapter, the accessory kit has splitters and extension cables.

I ordered the York Royale Hotel (arriving tomorrow). When I put in the order a pop-up recommended the 5000ma adapter listed above. I included it with my purchase. Menards also "threw in" a free 1:48 jeep. I am assuming that the Power Adapter I have coming is the right one for my needs. I also have the American Power Plant, but happened to be traveling through Indiana at the time so a store employee helped pick out an adapter for me. I don't know which one it is but it works OK!
