I think that Menards is doing a great job and I wouldn't mind if Menards made the following
Yuengling Brewery
Tropicana Distribution center or bottling plant ( Could just be a repainted version of the Pepsi Bottling Plant)
Hostess / Wonder Bread Bakery ( Could be any brand really, Lil Debbies , TastyCake, etc.)
Would like to see some of the Premier Menards flats with AEC or NASA loads.
Bill
S guage tubular
track with remote switches would be great!
Phil
O gauge remote switches and operating post-war inspired accessories.

I strongly agree, but would add that they should offer varying footprint sizes (from simple to more complex)
More industry :
Menards please make extra parts and loads.
the military load and the parking block on the flat cars would be nice to have extras to add to other cars!
add to this
fire people figures.
lots of police but not much fire people.
One of the many reasons Menards has done so well is a lot of the vehicles it sells are modern cars and trucks, mostly overlooked by other manufacturers. However I am not interested in modern equipment (my era is pre-1950), nor am I interested in the available 1:43 sized cars (too big).
So what I would like to see is more of Menards 1:48 sized cars and trucks representing vehicles from the post WWII era.
I love the Menard's offerings so far, just don't have room for all of them.
>How about an old firehouse repurposed as a hotel?
>Or an old market (like Pike's Place or Reading Market terminal building)
>A gas works type of building like they had in Seattle, abandoned looking would be even better.
>The Wonder bread building in the Shaw neighborhood of Washington D.C.
>More creative bridges, especially the newer suspension bridges.
More pre1970 buildings. More 1/48 vehicles pre1960. Single dome tank cars, early version. Maybe a series starting with a single building and adding more buildings over a period of time to make a larger complex. A load insert that can be placed inside the doorway of a box car simulating a load......Paul
More rolling stock in roadnames that haven’t been done yet ... Rio Grande, Lackawanna, etc.

A Little Debbie or Moon Pie bakery would be awesome. I also would like to see the Pepsi plant redone in green with Mt. Dew signage. Or keep it blue with RC Cola signs. Would love to have an RC Cola and Moon Pie on the layout!
I am still voting for a bowling alley.
Wow, you guys have lots of good ideas here. Here are mine, some of which were already listed.
1. Moon pie or Hostess twinkie bakery.
2. Some nuclear/AEC themed rolling stock and die-cast vehicles to go with the reactor.
3. A zoo (maybe petting zoo would work best, as that could be pretty small).
4. Miniature golf course.
Lots of good suggestions. Other than the obvious I wish they would offer their figures.
Hmmmmmm lets see..................................how about a brewery.
I wouldn't mind another building with some height . I have the York Hotel and love it. Maybe a hospital? I'm not a huge fan of the headquarters. Maybe something that operates as well!
I second the Yuengling Brewery!
How about a fire truck/ police car with flashing lights to add to
their stand alone lighted vehicles?
I'm all in for an electric substation, and how about some high voltage towers to distribute that juice from the power plant to all those places on your layout! Also, how about a truck terminal or cement plant. 1950's~1980's cars, pickups and big trucks (semi and tandem) A wooden grain elevator, Fertilizer plant.
Rusty
1. Rubber roadbed for their track.
2. 0-31, 0-42, 0-54, 0-72. 0-84 and 0-96 "O" gauge electric switches.
3. O gauge and O scale gondolas.
4. O gauge and O scale refrigerator cars.
5. Single dome O gauge and O scale tank cars.
6. O gauge and O scale stock cars.
7. Coal tipple.
8. Brewery.
9. Cement plant.
10. Refinery.
11. Sporting goods store.
12. Automotive dealership.
13. Diner.
How about a small mine with overhead loading of railroad cars.
Forgot to add one more thing. Warehouse building flats to go against backdrops or walls...........Paul
a blast furnace for under $100
O Gauge Tubular Switches

I also came up with another item I would really like. A modular catenary system. For me it doesn't have to be powered, just something that looks good for my electrics to run under.
All GREAT ideas !! Keep them coming ...

YES!
Modern and Retro Restaurant Series... Taco Bell, McDonald's, Kentucky Fried, etc.
Hotdog / Hamburger stand for my Menards outlot
I have said it in other threads, so I'll add it here: the La Crosse (formerly Old Style) brewery in La Crosse, WI.

I would love a Chic-Fil-A or Dunkin Donuts!
I too would like to see packs of O scale people, an assortment of detail pieces for roofs, dust collectors, trash bins etc. These are things they already make for the buildings, just put them in an assortment to use on other buildings. Also love to see a brewery, a truck terminal as a home for my hundreds of free box trucks or maybe a box truck assembly plant! Chain link fence like they have around a few of the buildings! Also like to see some buildings without a pass through for trains. Easy to run out of track space for those! Thanks for listening Santa! LOL
How about a classic 1920s-era bungalow? It was one of the most popular housing styles for almost a quarter century across the country and one that hasn’t been modeled (aside from the smaller early East Coast bungalow style variants).
My block has a dozen variations from that era, including mine (which I call an oversized bungalow because of its unusual height).
Switches and roadbed to go with their track assortment. Finding and maintaining 022 switches is problematic and there's not much for an affordable alternative that's easy to find around where I live.
