Very nice video, Dave.  Also great for PR, not only for the shop but for the hobby in general.  Having been to the shop on more than one occasion, I can attest to the realism of all of the video:  Excellent showroom layout with great details, an enormous inventory of trains and train related items, plus, what you don't see is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful personnel. (You!)  If you can't find it at Mercer Junction, it probably just ain't available.

I would love to "tour" even at the risk of leaving with a lighter wallet. But, it's a bit out of my way. The layout is great and having it so visible from the street is brilliant. So few shops sacrifice floor space for such anymore. Merchandise is approachable and tastefully displayed. The store looks inviting and appealing. Very nice, indeed. Perhaps someday I'll have a chance to visit.

Nicely done video.  Very nice shop too!  Would love to stop by some day.  I'm four hours away in south central PA.  Maybe next spring.

Make a package deal out of it and spend the night - MJ is fantastic, but there are several other interesting train shops in the vicinity, there are train-related attractions in Pittsburgh, and if you time it right you might get to visit John DeSantis' display.

When I covered PA for a previous job I would sneak to Dave's store whenever the opportunity arose! I'm also the proud owner of a couple Mercer Junction t-shirts!

T-Shirts you say? Dave never said anything about T-Shirts!

Great video showcasing your store Dave, always great to purchase from too.

Dave, I just found this video tour of your now closed shop on YouTube no less!   A pity no one was interested in taking it over, even on a lease deal.  I reside too far away across the big pond not to mention health issues or I would have been proud to carry on the tradition of Mercer Junction which was like many typical small town train shops that once graced America the Beautiful from coast to coast.

One can see that your shop was first class from the get go!  Thankfully we have the video tour to enjoy which will help retain the memories of your shop.

It's PA...how much sunlight could there possible be to have to worry about???

On average about 90 days, a year, of true sun-light, Pennsylvania gets it's fair share of rain. I had one of my  BTS models on the layout for some time, The sun-light weathering of that BTS model is interesting. IMO, Mike CT.  At the time there was a co-operative effort by Dave's local train group, and the Fort Pitt High-railers on the layout fabrication and detail work.   A look back, it was a lot of fun.  Thanks for the opportunity, Dave.  Mike CT.
