Hello, everyone! Wednesday is now upon us, and another chance to celebrate the world of railroading with Midweek Photos.
At Steamtown, Baldwin no. 26 is back in steam after a failure on some rod bearings. This is a break in move on Tuesday of last week. While she was out getting tested for the fit of the new bearings, she went out to move some cars around.
On Friday, I found her at work running through the Scranton yard on the Scranton Limited trains. Going past several old pieces of railroad equipment that were collected by F. Nelson Blount in the 1950s and 60s, plus DL&W MU commuter cars that were added in the 1980s by the Steamtown Foundation.
Running over the roads of the downtown. The industrial center of the city was at one time indicated by the locomotive shops and railroad complex.
The light was strange last Friday, so I could not get great shots. But if and when you come to Scranton, this little train can give you many photo angles to shoot.
How has your week gone? Any cool trains pass your way? If so, then please add an image or two of your "conquest." See you next Wednesday.
