Welcome once again to the world of real trains. Midweek Photos should help us get over the hump of the week, so we can prepare for a train chase or something like it over our weekends. So, get out your pictures, and share with all of us right here.
I went to Tunkhannock, PA today to stop at the craft brewery and winery. Of course, this led me to check out the railroad scene there. I think my last visit to the former Lehigh Valley Railroad station was about 4-5 years ago. I will have to cull through older posts on OGR to find out for sure.
Here is the passenger & freight station, built in the late 1940s or early 1950s. I can't find a reliable source at the moment. The tracks in front are the Reading & Northern. The depot doesn't look too bad, until you get closer.
I don't think the Reading & Northern ever used the building, so it has just been sitting. Apparently, not so well, as this link should take you to a photo from May, 2014, when I rode an excursion past this station.

This caboose isn't holding up so well, either.
Of course, I have seen worse, so these are not lost causes. That is my contribution on this sunny Wednesday afternoon. Please feel free to add what you might have to share. We look forward to them.
