Hi, does anyone know if Mike Reagan is still doing Lionel out of warranty train repair? I went to TW Trainworx website and could not find anything or a contact number. IF he is doing repair could someone please pass on contact info.
Thanks!!

Mike just did a repair for the club, he is definitely still doing it.
great thanks guys, I will reach out to him tomorrow...
He did a great job adding the ERR board to my Cass Heisler.
Scott Smith
he did a great repair job for me.
He overhauled my son's half-smoked Lionchief PE, it works better than new. He still has my docksider. It needs a new reverse unit that is hard to come by.
I would like to know how Mike fixed your Docksider when you get it back. Lionel is no longer stocking the reverse boards that go in these engines, which is too bad because they are nice little engines. No easy repair for the 10,000's of those engines out there.

I don't know how many are out there, but as of now a lack of parts is why he hasn't returned it.
One way it to fix the old reverse board. Normally what goes on those are the drivers, as I recall they're garden variety complementary transistors.
Spoke with Mike yesterday and he said send it to him. It was sent yesterday afternoon..Thanks for all the help!
Folks do need to keep in mind, though, that Mike keeps plenty busy (and often on the road to any or all corners of the country), with his TW Trainworx duties, so don't necessarily expect overnight repairs. But to answer the original question: Yes, Mike is still doing repairs.
What was it that Mike repaired? You didn't state what you sent to him.
A Lionel Legacy PRR RS-11. It started acting goofy and it has been perfect since day one. I was reprogramming when a puff of smoke came out of the top. Then nothing was happening.

Its best that you read my old thread:

The story continued beyond this to several more repairs by an MTH tech. Essentially the ten pin frail wires are failing and not getting through to the slave rear power car. Many repairs later, bad again.
I give MTH praise for everything else, except this design, and their miserable handling of this.
