Excellent!!!
Love the modern loads the most. Very nice job!
I stumbled across this grouping of photos from a good modeler, though I was curious about some of the 1800s rolling stock he’s modelled: https://www.flickr.com/photos/modelcrafters/ I think some of that is supposed to look like the “Spaghetti western” trains from some of those movies filmed in Europe?
Anyway, his military train photos could give some good ideas for many of you.
Looks great!
Bob, Just noticed what I assume to be your photo in your avatar. Ordnance Corps?
If so, I also wore what we called the "Flaming Disappointment" myself, ran a company with a FSB/BSB in a heavy mech unit (which became the transition for the first Stryker unit ever) for a while. From memory, I still know Aberdeen proving Ground's street layout like the back of my hand, though it's been many years since I was there last time and the Ordnance center was moved a while ago...
Interesting that you have what appears to be a marksman medal. We were never allowed to wear qual badges as officers in any unit I served with. Drove me nuts because I aways shot expert.
P51 or Lee: nice to meet another "flaming ****pot" :-)
I went through OCS at APG and the Career Course as well, and one other assignment with "Materiel Command". I had a two star I worked for that told us in no uncertain terms, "If you earned it, you wear it" !
Never had any command ever say anything about it. I too fired expert on anything I shot. Liked to shoot before I joined.
I was in from Jan 9, 1967 till August 9, 2007. How about you?
Bob
1998 to 2006, myself, but 5 years of it was in reserve time and I never went to the sandbox, because I found I wasn't built for all that running (kept getting repetitive stress fractures).
The marksman medal for officers was an odd thing for me. I only ever saw one officer wearing one and he was a Florida NG Major (who looked like he first qualled with a flintlock, he was so old) who presented awards at my ROTC unit at Florida State my senior year.
Bob,
Many thanks for the kind words. I have not posted to this thread for a while and I need to reiterate I am no expert at military vehicles nor loads. I do like to study them, however, to learn more and do a better job. I trolled Ebay for a long time in search f military vehicles. You can find them there from 1/43 to 1/48, 1/50, and even 1/56. My favorite vehicles are the 1/50 made by a company named SWORD. Look for the on Ebay. Expensive, but astounding detail.

Eliot,
Two companies called, Atlas and Eaglemoss make some really good WW2 stuff in 1/43 that could easily be used in O scale.
Victoria makes great stuff in 1/43, too. I have a few of their models. They make stuff of various eras.
