Milwaukee's TrainFest will be held on Saturday 11/14/2015 & Sunday 11/15/2015 from 9:00AM - 5:00PM each day.  You can check out their website for more detail.

I will probably attend on Sat and I will wear a name tag with "CB&Q Bill" so that any OGR Forum-ites can easily identify me.  I will also be wearing a BR/CB&Q/Zephyr themed hat, shirt, and possibly sweatshirt (if it is cold that day).

This is one of the Midwest's best train shows of the year.  It is in the spacious Wisconsin State Fair's Exhibition Building.  It features model manufacturers, hobby stores & vendors, operating layouts, historical societies, railroadiana vendors, rail fan supplies, etc.

Of interest to OGR Forum-ites are the following (not an exhaustive list):

- O Gauge Railroading, Kalmbach Publishing, Heimburger House Publishing, etc.

- Daylight Sales, Rebel Rail Wear, Jelsma Graphics, etc.

- Sommerfelds Hobbies, Rails Unlimited, Des Plaines Hobby, etc.

- Scenic Express, Woodland Scenics, Chooch Enterprises, Bowser, Ross Custom Switches, Testors, Z-Stuff for trains, etc.

- LCCA, TCA Midwest Divison, Lionel RR Club of Milwaukee, etc.

- Illinois Railway Museum, Milwaukee Road Historical Association, etc.

- Atlas-O, Lionel, MTH, Bachmann-Williams, Hornby, Corgi, etc.

I plan to visit with Lionel, MTH, Atlas-O, & Bachmann-Williams about their CB&Q offerings.

I plan to visit the OGR booth to say hello & look over the Ameri-Town buildings.  I will keep my eye out for new CB&Q related books, shirts, & hats.

I especially want to observe in detail any Lionel / LCCA FasTrack Modular layouts (I am strongly considering these for my eventual home basement layout).

I usually see various BRHS buddies and O-gauge friends at this show, too.

How many of you plan to attend and on which days ?

Thanks in advance & hope to see you there !

Hello Bill:

I will be there running trains with the Midwest TCA group. We will be in the area INSIDE the ride along train this year.

Aside from operating our modular layout 90 x 70 in an "L" shape I think, we will also have our very popular train races for the kids... and any adults if the mood strikes.

I will be the slightly older, slightly overweight, slightly balding... never mind, I just described most of the people in this hobby. Anyway, look me up and ask for Charlie. See you there.

Charlie
