I love the Chessie Steam Special. I have had my eye on
Lionel's 6-18011 Chessie 4-8-4 T1.  It says O 42 is the tightest curve it will run on.
Do they mean it?
Would it make it around O36?
Sometimes manufacturers are overly cautious and sometimes they are too optimistic when it comes to curve size.

I'm not worried about will it look right.  I want to know would it take a O36 curve and not bind up.

If this engine wont can anyone recommend a Chessie Special engine that will take O36 curves?

While I am on the subject of the Special, anyone hee have the Williams Chessie Madison cars?
If so do you like them?
Thanks

I seriously doubt that engine will work on O-36. But having said that, I've not tried it either. I stick with 072 for this engine.

About 20+ years ago, Lionel(MPC) did make a Berk (2-8-4)conventional in Chessie Steam Special colors witha matching set of passenger cars. There is one available on the Bay now. That may be better suited to your needs.
