I purchased an MTH ProtoSound 2.0 steam upgrade kit from Chicagoland Hobby & Toys store about a week ago. I checked today before I was going to start upgrading, but to my surprise, the PS2 coupler for the tender was nowhere to be found in the kit. Has anyone ever had something like this happen before? Does MTH provide the coupler as a part for sale anywhere? What should I do in this case that may be better?

Hi Mikado 4501,

The coupler should have been in the kit.  Was the seal broken on the kit when you bought it?  If so, I'd ask Chicagoland Hobby & Toys to replace the coupler.  It was probably swiped form the kit to make an immediate repair and they forgot to replace it before selling you the kit.  If the seal wasn't broken I would contact the MTH service department and let them know the kit was incomplete.  They should be able to send you a coupler.
