I often see Providence & Worcester Railroad GP38 locomotive #2006 in New Haven – as shown in the first picture.
Several weeks ago, there was a thread on the OGR forum that went something like “MTH models - fewer than five left.” Although I did not expect to be buying anything, I followed a link in the thread and saw a listing for a Providence & Worcester GP38-2 (MTH 20-20373-1) that had been offered in 2014. I quickly called MTH and was told they had only one left. You can probably guess what happened next! Mr. Muffin ordered the engine for me and I received it from him about a week later. The model is #2007 – but that is close enough for me.
Does anyone else have photos of a model and its prototype which they have photographed?
