Modeling the TEXX 1135 20-axle Schnabel car in O scale
This 20 axle schnabel car is owned by TTS Leasing. It car has a capacity of 980,000 pounds and provides both vertical and horizontal shifting capability. The prototype was formerly CPOX 820. Purchased from Consumers Energy, in August 2013.

An O scale model of this car has been constructed. The model uses 10 pairs of Rollerbearing trucks to distribute the load. The over all length of the model (without load attached) is 31 inches (124 scale feet). The bolsters are articulated allowing improved tracking. Not all details shown including railings and steps which need to be added.
This model also has a scale 8 foot offset pivot point that allows the load to be shifted side to side like the prototype.
