Does anybody know why is it so hard to find modern day refrigerator cars. I know that Weaver use to make them but since there out of business I can’t find them. Am I missing something? Thanks in advance.

Bunch of Weaver and Lionel 57's on ebay. Lionel took over the Weaver line but the price is too high for most folks. No end of car markings, guess they forgot to add them?
Besides buying what’s left of the Weaver that’s out there is any other manufacturer making them new?

It’s a shame that Weaver went out of business they were always reasonably priced and nice detail.
Lionel has been making the old Weaver cars under the Lionscale name. Still done in the US no less. Check the large dealers to see if they still have any.
The LionScale 57' Mechanical Refrigerator cars are being produced. They were in service mostly from 1965 to 2005. A few are in service today.
These are 2 of the new LionScale PC&F 57' Mechanical Refrigerator cars in the Pacific Fruit Express scheme of the 1960's.
The most modern Mechanical Refrigerator cars are the ones built by Trinity and Greenbrier. There are HO scale and N scale models, but no O scale models.
