Are there any dealers known for selling modern equipment in the non-dealer halls? I know there's a lot of modern equipment in the Orange Hall. However; the other halls were so crowded in April that I didn't get to look around as much as I wanted to look around. I'm curious if there's a table, or two, that is known for modern equipment. It seemed like a lot of the stuff in the Blue Hall was older equipment.

Orange, Purple and Brown are the dealer halls and will have the largest percentage of modern stuff. The member halls have a lot of everything. You won't find a lot of really recent production (cataloged in the last 1-2 years), and a lot of the modern stuff is gently used (if it was even used at all), but it is there, and usually at really good prices. I bought a lot of Atlas Master Line, including reefers (!) in the member halls for $30-$35 each over the past few years.
Since the member halls depend on what members bring, it is anyone's guess as to what you may find. I have a table in the Blue Hall, and at Spring York this year I saw lots of MTH Premier, Atlas O and K-Line just in the Blue Hall (from members thinning out or liquidating their collections). The member halls aren't just pre-war and post-war and are worth at least a once-through if not under too much of a time constraint.

last couple times i went, i found lots of good deals in the member halls.almost aways at a reasonable price.some sellers would have premier and masterline cars at $20-25.you just gotta look....-Jim
Thanks for the replies, gentlemen. It was REALLY crowded in the main member halls in the spring. I was only able to do a quick run through and didn't see a lot of modern items. It sounds like I missed out. I'll circle back around and take my time in those halls this time.
The narrow aisles in the member halls make them seem to be more crowded than the dealer halls. It is the only downside, IMHO, to the member halls (especially since table-holders like myself have to sit in the aisles).
