First B unit to be modified by dropping the shell around the chassis. You can see it has been lowered to prototype height in comparison to an unmodified b unit.

This unit required a lot of cutting and body modifications, but I think I can do the rest including A units by modifying the truck mounting plates and the truck  trunions.

I'll due a tutorial when I do it. I'm going to tackle my Alcos first.

Howard, I was not aware of Joe Wallace. do you know3 the mods for the Kadee auto uncoupler. I assume he is using part of a lionel coupler coil  to actuate. That was sweet.

Laid off sick, I will mount the door steps, but will order some end steps to modify and attach to the body.

Central fan, I have no idea on the minimum radius as I run 0/120 to O/144 curves. They still seem to have a pretty good range of motion. One would have to retain the truck mounted steps.

 

Today I started a pattern for the Alco pilots.
