I visited Imperial Train Co. recently. If you haven't heard already, they're doing another run of custom MTH Montour Railroad equipment. According to the clerk who was in on that day, MTH is doing three new items:

A caboose like the one in Imperial PA.

A Montour #76 SW9 (Bicentennial)

A Montour girder bridge

In addition, the shop still has a few of the Atlas hopper sets and PS-3 Mikados for sale.

Dan,

Great for Montour fans!!  How does Imperial do it?!

The same way as any other shop would.  They contact MTH and have them produced.  There are minimums but from what I understand being a customer of the store, most of the engines and cars were sold on pre order.  They have a few left in the store.  They were some good looking items.  I'm sure the new ones will do just as well.

(Custom paint) Atlas SW's. 76 was a bicentennial paint, also badly wrecked by a run-away flat car with an earth mover on it. The Atlas models took liberty with dimension.  IMO, the MTH SW's are even a bit more out of proportion.

Low number's  (70, 71, etc) were SW7 with arched cab windows and slightly different louvers .  Many of the pictures show push pole brackets and the push pole, which eventually became illegal.
