Did you scratch build the White Castle or was it store bought?

I love White Castles but Mrs. 'Ski only lets me have then about once a year

No White Castles around here; I have to make do with frozen sliders from Walleyworld.  Oh, well.   

Handy household hint:  If you have a rice cooker, steam your frozen sliders in the basket above the rice.  They come out yummy!

Nice work.  What is the source of your decals? Buy? Make?

When you paint, are you stripping old paint or going right over the top?

I regularly peruse the action sites for decals and buy there.  Although I now have some decal paper and will be experimenting.

As for painting, I generally wash the item in soap and water, light sand, apply a primer coat and then apply color as required.  I don't use an airbrush...yet.  I've read a bunch of articles about how to use spray cans and I like the results.  I have a paint booth that I inherited from my brother in law when he passed.  It makes a big difference.
